Rumble - A Free Android Application
Rumble is an alternative video streaming service that was founded in 2013. Unlike YouTube, Vimeo and many other video sharing services, it has minimal content regulations and encourages a "neutral exchange of ideas."
Rumble's founder, Chris Pavlovski, said that he created the platform as an alternative to YouTube. He believes that all video creators should have a chance to reach a large audience and earn money.
In November, Russell Brand agreed to let Rumble access all of his videos. Rumble also has a deal with Donald Trump's campaign. This has led to many conservative media personalities making their home on the site. The site has gained over 30 million monthly users.
Despite being a relatively small video-sharing platform, Rumble has seen a 25-fold growth in its users. Its market cap is over $3 billion. And it recently announced plans to go public.
Rumble plans to use its new funding to expand its teams, attract more content creators, and begin robust marketing. Rumble is also building monetization features that will mirror those of YouTube and Twitch. Users can subscribe to a variety of packages, including ad-free viewing and additional storage. Moreover, viewers will be able to pay extra to make live chat comments larger.
However, it is unclear whether Rumble is actually a neutral platform or whether it has strict moderation policies. Some people believe that the site doesn't filter politically-sensitive content. Others believe it is shadowbanned.
Rumble's popularity is largely attributed to the fact that it is less stringent than other video-sharing platforms. Many right-wing and American far-right users have gravitated to the service.
